Is an improve to Shira route which begins with long drive from Moshi to Lemosho gate. The hikes start from the gate to Mti mkubwa camp which is in the forest zone. Day one start with few hours of walk and at low altitude level, which gives high chance of acclimatization.The route begins from west crossing the shira plateau with an amazing panoramic vistas then later traverse to underneath Kilimanjaro’s southern ice filed before summiting from south east of the mountain at Barafu camp. This route is considered most beautiful route on Kilimanjaro, but for our research and experience it’s at large offers the same scenery as Machame route. It is highly recommended using this route as its success is very high and have a varied beauty and amazing scenery, although nowadays is more populated than Machame route.
DAY 0
A driver will pick you from Airport {KIA} to your arrenged Hotel in Moshi Town. After arriving to your Hotel, you will meet your guide and he will give you a brief about the upcoming hike and do some checkup of hike gear, to make sure that you have all the necessary Mount gear. Incase of some missing gear will be rented befor hiking

You will be picked up at your hotel at around 08:00am and transferred to the Lemosho route at Londorosi gate which is located at western side of Kilimanjaro. After the registration process you will still start our climb steadily through the forests of the Lemosho glades to reach Big Tree camp where you will be spending the night.
Today you will trek across a plateau of grassy moorland and heather scattered with volcanic rock formations. Our destination for today is the Shira 1 Camp from where there are often views of Kibo Peak floating on the clouds. We gain a reasonable amount of altitude today and parts of the route are fairly steep.
Today you will get the chance to view the Northern Ice fields from the western side of the mountain with some unusual views of Kibo. Our steady climb across the moorland of the Shira Plateau will help with acclimatization and we enjoy great panoramic views. Our destination today is the Shira 2 Camp. In the afternoon you will take an acclimatization walk then head back to camp for dinner and overnight.
Your trek starts with an ascent with far-reaching panoramic views, walking into the climatic zone of the upland desert and on the lava ridges beneath the glaciers of the Western Breach. You will reach the distinct pinnacle of the Lava Tower (4640 m), our high point for the day and a great place to enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon we make a steep descent to our camp for the night, located in the base of the Great Barranco Valley (3960 m), sheltered by towering cliffs but with extensive views of the plains below.
DAY 05: BARANCO CAMP TO KARANGA CAMP
After a breakfast, you continue in a southeasterly to the junction before turning North to reach Barafu Camp. Here you take a long rest and prepare for the midnight ascent to the Summit.

DAY 06: KARANGA CAMP TO BARAFU CAMP
After a good night’s rest and breakfast, we set off on our walk to Barafu camp at 4640m. The climb will take us across desolate scree slopes with no vegetation around us at all. It’s a tough steep walk made more difficult by the altitude. On arriving at camp we eat and spend the afternoon resting as we prepare for a long night and day ahead. It is important to keep hydrated and warm. We have an early dinner and then try to get some sleep as we will be getting up at between 11pm and 12pm to start the climb to the summit.
DAY 07: BARAFU CAMP TO UHURU PEAK
At midnight you will head in a northwesterly direction up to the souteast valley toward Stella point on the Creter rim, 6hrs long walk to Stella Point. Another hours take us to Summit Uhuru Peak (5895m). The time you spend on the Summit it dtermined by the weather condition. The walk back to mweka Camp from the Summit can take over 7hrs.

DAY 08: MWEKA CAMP TO MWEKA PARK GATE
After a breakfast from Mweka camp, you will continue down to Mweka village, normally a muddy and long hour walk. A driver will pick you from Mweka Gate to your Hotels were you be served with delicious hot lunch and long hot shower. After a rest, a successful climbers will be awarded a Summit certificate, and those who ended at Stella Point will be issued by green certificate, and those who ended Uhuru Peak will receive a Gold cerificate
